The Sloan’s Lake Foundation ensures the environmental health, sustainability and beauty of
one of Denver’s top urban natural assets. Our focus is on water quality that supports the lake
ecosystem as well as a variety of recreational uses. The result will be the preservation of
Sloan’s Lake for generations to come.
Significant sediment has flowed into the Lake for decades, creating unhealthy water conditions. Although hard work by the Denver Parks & Rec has slowed the flow, investments in forebays (filters) and other small fixes can help the lake's health
We will educate our community, municipal partners, developers and business about the rich history of the lake and the steps they can take to lessen negative impact on the Lake and the Park.

The Sloan’s Lake Foundation’s vision is one of a harmonious relationship between humans and
nature, urbanization and the Lake’s ecosystem of plant, wildlife and water organisms. We seek
to educate and involve our community so as to promote a common stewardship for the lake.
